In March 2018, the Inter-Agency Common Feedback Project completed 1800 Community Perception Surveys at the household level with community members randomly selected throughout 10 priority flood affected districts. This was the third round of data collected in flood affected districts. The quantitative data collection was augmented by focus group discussions (FGDs) to gather qualitative insights.

Nepal’s Comprehensive Peace Accord, which ended ten years of armed conflict in the country, created avenues for the foundation of sustainable peace. Within this backdrop, the Government of Finland and UN Women-Nepal, together with local partners, international development organizations and UN agencies committed to collaborate and support the Government of Nepal GoN) in the effective implementation of its first National Action Plan (NAP) for United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820, which was adopted in 2011.
This report summarises the work and achievements accomplished in the fields of education, culture, natural sciences and communication and information by the Office in 2016 and 2017, in response to the main development issues and challenges facing Nepal. Activities have been undertaken in support of the implementation of the national priorities and strategies outlined in the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) 2013-2017 for Nepal, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This was the second round of data collected in flood affected districts. Among the 1800 respondents, 69 percent said they were affected by the floods, and an additional 25 percent were minorly impacted by the floods. The five percent who claimed not to be affected by the floods at all were excluded from further analysis.

This handbook, produced by the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption, the United Nations Development Programme and the Islamic Development Bank, is designed to be an easy-to-use resource that can help parliamentarians and parliamentary staff members play an effective role in implementing the SDGs.
As a reflection of the high priority placed on the promotion and protection of human rights of mentally disabled persons, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Nepal has included it in its Strategic Plan 2015-20. In this regard, the NHRC Strategy Plan Support Project (SPSP)—supported by UNDP and the governments of Denmark and Switzerland—has undertaken a number of initiatives, including awareness and advocacy drives, as well as pilot programmes focusing on monitoring, outreach and the promotion of rights of persons with mental disabilities.
