A two-day workshop on Gender Statistics for SDGs Indicators was held on 29 and 30 March 2018 to understand statistical aspects of data requirements. The workshop was attended by Government officials from ministries and entities responsible for planning and programme implementation for the SDGs, in general, and for gender equality and women’s empowerment, in particular; United Nations entities and international development partners, private sector entities and civil society organizations who use as well as produce data and statistics related to the topic. The two-day workshop, Gender Statistics for SDG Indicators highlighted that, statistics that reflect lived realities of women and men, girls and boys are indispensable tools for developing evidence based polices and solutions to achieve gender equality and women's empowerment.
